Scholarships

Excellence in English

The Excellence in English Scholarship is a need-based scholarship with the award amount determined according to the student's financial need. A GPA of 3.5 or higher is preferred (but not required). You would need to have demonstrated need, which must be confirmed by Financial Aid. Following Financial Aid's approval, you would need to submit a written letter to the English faculty describing your history/experience with the English department and current financial need.

English Faculty Scholarship for Honors Literature

The English Faculty Scholarship for Honors Literature is for students who intend to do doctoral-level work in literature. The award is set at a minimum of $1000. More details on the scholarship’s process can be found in the student application. (Please note that you'll need to go through your Biola email address to access this link.)
